Developer Mode

Use Tools..Options to switch into Developer Mode, if you dare.

Developer Mode is designed to assist in preparing new versions and debugging RunGTAP problems. It has the following effects:

•You can go on even if vital files are missing.

•ViewHAR allows file modification.

•The RunGTAP text file editor allows you to modify files.

•You can edit the Version Info page within RunGTAP, and save it to disk.

•You can view the contents of the temporary, working subdirectory used by RunGTAP

•You can run checks on the files in version directories to identify missing or obsolete files.

These capabilities can be very handy, but you should be aware that they are associated with a risk. Developer mode is like driving without a seat belt -- many of the normal RunGTAP safety features are disabled. You could quite easily cause RunGTAP to crash.

Therefore, use developer mode when you need to, but switch it off at other times.

You can switch developer mode off and on using the Tools..Options menu item. It is always OFF when RunGTAP starts up.

Please dont report bugs that only occur in Developer Mode. In Developer Mode, all bugs are features !
