What was new in RunGTAP 1999


The 1999 edition of RunGTAP contained a variety of improvements over the previous editions.

Options dialog.

You can view tax rates based on pre- or post-simulation databases.

You can view Subsets and Variables

New Version Wizard helps you create new versions based on fresh aggregations or on post-simulation databases.

RunGTAP helps you do sensitivity analysis.

RunGTAP calculates two types of derived elasticity for you to examine.

Assistance in running AlterTax simulations so that the database reflects specified values for tax rates. See also the following item:

Two important improvements to the Shocks page:

(a) You can apply uniform shocks to subsets of a variable.

(b) Tax rates can be shocked so they meet given ad valorem targets.

You can view some results either as levels or changes.

RunGTAP constantly searches for obsolete files -- if found they may be deleted without warning! See derived files and Run test simulation.
