Importing Headers from another file

You can import headers either from another Header Array (HAR) file or from a GEMPACK Text file. In either case you select and open the source file. You will be offered a list of the data items on the source file: you select the items you want.

As usual in Windows, select one item by clicking on it; use Shift-click to select a range of items; and use Control-click to select or deselect several non-adjacent items. Or use the Select All button, followed perhaps by a few Control-clicks to deselect the items you don't want.

It is a GEMPACK rule that every data item on a header array file must have a unique 4-character header. If naming conflicts arise while data is imported, you will be offered a choice of replacing the existing data item or of renaming the incoming header so that is unique. You can also change headers later using the Edit..Change Header/Longname command.

A check box allows you to extract sets details (all set names and elements) from a HAR file whether or not you choose to import particular headers. See Set Library.
