Acknowledgements

I am grateful to the following people who have influenced the development of AnalyseGE.

Mark Horridge made the development possible by allowing the use of his ViewHAR and TABmate software. He made substantial modifications to the code for these to make it relatively easy to for these to be controlled by another program. Mark has assisted in solving several technical problems which cropped up. In particular he showed how to colour the exogenous and endogenous variables differently on the TABmate form.

Tom Hertel suggested the frequent use of toggles, and offered encouragement and advice with the early prototype.

Peter Dixon and Maureen Rimmer gave helpful feedback on early versions of the software, and encouraged the further development of AnalyseGE.

Hans van Meijl suggested that it should be possible to automate the decomposition of equations and formulas.
