Winconsole EXEs All models used with the current version of RunDynam must be able to handle long file names. This means that they must be winconsole EXEs. The following information tells you if the TABLO-generated program (or GEMSIM if your model is based on GEMSIM Auxiliary files) is a winconsole EXE. Executable programs prepared using F77L3 (the Lahey Fortran 77 compiler) are not winconsole EXEs. •All executable programs produced using Release 7.0 or later of GEMPACK via the Lahey compilers LF90 or LF95 are winconsole EXEs. •Executable programs produced using Release 6.0 of GEMPACK are not usually winconsole EXEs. However if they are prepared using version 4.50i of LF90, they are winconsole EXEs. •If your model is based on a TABLO-generated program (plus associated Auxiliary files with suffixes .AXS and .AXT), you can tell from the above whether the program is a winconsole EXE. •If your model is based on GEMSIM Auxiliary files (these have suffixes .GSS and .GST), the Model name will show the GEMSIM Statement (.GSS) file name just above the Change Model button on the Model/Data page. In this case you run the program GEMSIM to solve the model. If you have a Source-code version of GEMPACK, you can tell from the above whether your GEMSIM.EXE is a winconsole EXE. If you have an Executable-image version of GEMPACK, your GEMSIM.EXE is a winconsole EXE if you have Release 7.0 or later but is not a winconsole EXE if you have Release 6.0 of GEMPACK. If you did not create the TABLO-generated program yourself, ask the person who created it for you whether it is a winconsole EXE.
