Loading and Saving Closures, Shocks, and Experiments

RunGTAP uses a specialised file dialog for loading and saving closures, shocks, experiments and versions.

For loading, the dialog displays all files of the appropriate type which apply to the current version. Since all these files are located in the same subdirectory and have the same extension, both these details are hidden from the user and each file is identified simply by an 8-letter name. There may be a short message describing each file. For experiment files, this message is the experiment description; for versions it is just the first line of the Version Info; for parameter files it is the first line of the FIle History; otherwise the message is simply the first comment (line beginning with !) in the file.

For saving, the user must choose a new 8-letter file name. RunGTAP automatically adds the right extension and places the file in the correct directory. RunGTAP warns you before overwriting existing files: these are listed so you can avoid file names already in use. The Save dialog also gives you a chance to alter the file description before saving it.
