The RunGTAP Text File Editor

RunGTAP allows you to view (and sometimes change) a variety of files. By default, text files are viewed using the RunGTAP editor. While you are in the RunGTAP editor, the remainder of RunGTAP is disabled: you must finish editing (Back to RunGTAP) before resuming other work.

You can choose to use TABmate as your text editor.

The editor is in read-only mode, unless:

(a) you chose the View..Other text file option, or

(b) you are in Developer mode.

If you do modify and save a file, remember that RunGTAP is fussy about file extensions (suffixes). For example, RunGTAP only recognises a TABLO input file if its name ends in .TAB. You should normally keep the same extension, even if you save a file with a new name. File names may be limited to 8 letters, plus a 3-letter extension.
