Missing SLI file

The file VERSION.SLI contains details of variable names, sizes and elements. These are needed for the assisted method of creating shocks. If there is no VERSION.SLI file, RunGTAP creates it the first time a simulation is run. Until then, shocks must be entered manually, or loaded from file.

The usual reason for the missing SLI file message is that RunGTAP has deleted the SLI file because it is older than one of the main model EXEs (normally GTAP.EXE or SLTOHTA.EXE). This might occur if you installed a RunGTAP patch or update.

DONT PANIC !!

Simply use the menu command Tools..Run Test Simulation to run a simulation that will regenerate the missing file. You might have to do this (once only) the first time you use a different version.
