Tax Rates files

The GTAPView program uses the core data file to compute various tax rates which you should know, especially for understanding and explaining results.

You can look at these files using ViewHAR. The tax rates are percentages off the base, for example:

If the purchaser pays $13, of which tax is $3, the file shows a rate of 30%.

GTAPView computes rates for both the original core data file or the updated core data file. The latter relates to the database after the last simulation.
