What was new

This section lists some changes to ViewHAR that occurred in the past.

Short Tribute to Leontief, who died early in 1999.

Did you install ViewHAR in the right place? -- see Where to install ViewHAR.

ViewHAR will work with the Charter, a companion program which turns numbers from ViewHAR and ViewSOL into graphs. See Charting.

You can view a real matrix in transpose form by clicking a yellow button at the left of the tool bar.

Print command is a bit more friendly than before.

You can now open a GEMPACK text file directly.

There are two new ways to look at real matrices:

Sparse Sorted View: which sorts each row in descending order, and

Levels with Shares, which puts 2 numbers (share and level) in each cell.

See Special views.

When copying data to the clipboard you can now independently choose whether to include labels and totals. See Data Export Options.

You can now control how the share 0/0 is represented when ViewHAR is displaying real matrices as row or column shares. See Options.

Optionally, the contents page will show how many negative numbers each real header contains.

ViewHAR allows you to apply or modify the set labelling information associated with real matrices. See Add or Change Set Labels and View Set Library.

ViewHAR adds a user-name (if set) to the file History. This is intended for use in team or institutional contexts. See User Name. Names of back-up files also now appear in the file history.

Edit..Create New Header command allows to you to set a uniform initial value for newly created headers.

Edit..Clone Header creates a copy of the currently selected data item.
