Arranging vectors by size or name

The Format menu item allows you to arrange vectors in 3 ways:

•by name, ie, individually, or

•by size.

•by size and by set

The second option allows you to display all vectors of the same length together, which can be very handy. However, be aware that ViewSOL assumes, when labelling such displays, that all the vectors of a certain length range over the same set. This may not always be appropriate. On the other hand it allows you to view commodity and industry variables together, assuming they are of the same length.

The third option is similar to the second except that vectors are only grouped together if they range over the same set, as well being of the same length.
