GEMPACK licence TABmate may be used without a GEMPACK licence for ordinary editing tasks. However, you need a GEMPACK licence to run the TABLO program which is used by TABmate whenever you click the TABLO Check, TABLO STI or TABLO Code buttons. So, you do need a GEMPACK licence to make effective use of TABmate. The GEMPACK licence is a file called LICEN.GEM which must be located in the directory C:\GP (or in the subdirectory pointed to by the environment variable GPDIR).
