Parsers

Each file open in TABmate is displayed using one of 7 parsers:

•the TABLO parser for files suffixed TAB

•the CMF parser for files suffixed CMF

•the HTML parser for files suffixed HTM or HTML

•the FORTRAN parser for files suffixed FOR or F90

•the PASCAL parser for files suffixed PAS

•the BAT parser for files suffixed BAT

•the PlainText parser for all other files

Syntax highlighting and some other editor behaviour is associated with a particular parser.

You can use the Edit...Properties dialog to alter the behaviour of the parser used by the currently focused file.
