Properties

You can use the Edit...Properties dialog to alter TABmate behaviour. The dialog has three pages:

Options

This page controls various editing features, such as TAB expansion.

Highlighting

This page controls the colours used for syntax highlighting.

Autocorrect

This feature can act as an automatic spelling-corrector. You can specify replace and with strings. Suppose you set:

replace=MacDougall

with=McDougall

Then, whenever you typed MacDougall [wrong], TABmate would replace this with McDougall [correct].

You can also use this feature to save typing. You might set:

replace=ccc

with=(all,c,COM)

Then, if you typed ccc TABmate would replace this by (all,c,COM)

Properties are parser-specific

If you are looking at a TAB file when you start the Edit...Properties dialog, the changes you make will apply only to TAB files. The Properties dialog alters the behaviour of the parser used by the currently focused file.
