Options

The Options dialog enables you to customize ViewSOL.

The Duplicate solutions option controls what happens if you attempt to open a solution which is already open in ViewSOL. By default, ViewSOL prompts whether to discard the already open solution. By specifying the answer in advance, you can avoid being prompted. See File already open.

Levels results may be available for some models constructed made using GEMPACK Version 6 or later. If so, three extra solution files will be present, showing:

•pre-shock variable values,

•post-shock variable values, and

•ordinary change in variable values.

You can choose to ignore these.

Subtotals results may be available for some models constructed using GEMPACK Version 7 or later. If so, extra solutions will be present, showing changes due to groups of shocks. You can choose to ignore these.

Individual column results may be available for Solution files produced by SAGEM (but only if the Solution file was produced by Release 9 or later of GEMPACK). These correspond to a shock to just one component of one exogenous variable (see chapter 10 of GPD-3 for more details). You can choose to ignore these.

Number set elements in row/column labels

You can choose whether to display numbers with the set elements that appear as row or column labels of results tables. By default, ViewSOL shows these numbers.

Minimum time of quote display: Quotations appear while a solution is being read: if you need more time to read the quote, you can adjust the quote duration. If you set the time to zero, the quotation disappears as soon as the solution has been read in. Set the time to 10, and you will have at least 10 seconds to read the quote.
